PC Patrol Hardware - Radio Frequency Receiver
The Radio Frequency Receiver Unit is a self contained, radio receiver designed to connect to a standard DB9 (9-pin) serial port of an IBM compatible PC. It receives coded Radio Frequency signals from the Radio Frequency Transmitters in BAKSON's range of PC PATROL Sensors.

The Receiver Unit has 3 channels of reception (Zone A, Zone B and the Remote Control Unit) and can distinguish between different coded signals. These security codes are set by matching the configuration of the DIP switches on the bottom of the Receiver with the DIP switches on the Sensors.

When a sensor has its DIP switch configuration set to match that of the 'Zone A' DIP switch on the Receiver, any signal that it sends will be interpreted by the Receiver as coming from 'ZoneA'.

Likewise, when a sensor has its DIP switch configuration set to match that of the 'Zone B' DIP switch on the Receiver, any signal that it sends will be interpreted by the Receiver as coming from 'ZoneB'.

The Receiver Unit has 3 LEDs on it:

The top, Green LED indicates whether there is Power supplied to the Receiver Unit(light on).
The center Red LED indicates if the system is at Level 1 (light on) or Level 2 (light off) status.
The lower Amber (yellow) LED flickers as a Radio Frequency signal is received.
There is an antennae or aerial in the side of the Receiver Unit. This can be positioned to optimize the strength of the Radio Frequency Signal from the Sensors placed around your area.
